Ode to My Friends
lets freeze the times we had
lets never grow old and be sad
lets live life like there's no end
lets not try to understand
we've aged so much over years
everything now really matters
when did life get so jaded
is this the price for being matured?
childhood innocence we abandoned
in quest for supposed greater happiness
those laughter now muffled
paving way for sombreness
to each other we no longer matter
every once a while, a get-together
at soul, we are strangers
as if we never knew one another
my friends...
lets freeze the times we had
lets never grow old and be sad
lets live life like there's no end
lets not try to understand
lets never grow old and be sad
lets live life like there's no end
lets not try to understand
we've aged so much over years
everything now really matters
when did life get so jaded
is this the price for being matured?
childhood innocence we abandoned
in quest for supposed greater happiness
those laughter now muffled
paving way for sombreness
to each other we no longer matter
every once a while, a get-together
at soul, we are strangers
as if we never knew one another
my friends...
lets freeze the times we had
lets never grow old and be sad
lets live life like there's no end
lets not try to understand
